My ceramics would not be described as minimalist, my pieces are bold, bright and playful, there’s nothing particularly subtle or “of the earth” about my creations! If I were pushed to reveal my inspiration? Hmmm, well I’m not entirely sure but I do quite often find myself thinking ‘would this have worked in Barbara Cartland’s home?!’ 

Looking for gifts to mark a group occasion a friend suggested checking out Four-oh Ceramics site. I loved the bright quirky designs. I contacted Rosie and she was brilliant discussing what I was looking for. I bought her beautiful tree decorating “Eggs” and she made some gorgeous vases, all came beautifully packaged and were loved by everyone. I would recommend her work to anyone.

Hello, I’m Rosie, welcome to FOUR-OH Ceramics!

I’m a British ceramicist based in The Netherlands.

I create whimsical and brightly coloured ceramics which are hand thrown on the wheel, often embellished and then glazed one by one in my garden studio (shed!) and whenever I get the chance I'll be sure to add a flourish of gold, platinum and mother of pearl lustres!
